The second wave of the H1N1 virus (swine flu) is expected to start during the traditional flu season. The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has a pandemic plan in place and will continue to monitor the recommendations from the CDC and local agencies. The South Dakota Department of Health and Pennington County Emergency Management are working to offer Point of Dispensing sites for the H1N1 flu vaccine to specific groups.
